Joe Strauss Invitational Tournament Story:

The tournament is in memory of Joe Strauss, a standout Coventry soccer player who died in an automobile accident on Mother's Day, May 12, 1996. Joe was the passenger in a car driven by an underage individual driving while intoxicating. They were served beer at a keg party hosted by college students over the age of 21. The Foundation was established on January 1, 2002 with the purpose of funding youth soccer, providing scholarships and to fund preventative and awareness programs to combat underage drinking.

The Joe Strauss Invitational is so popular we unfortunately have to turn teams away each year.
